English & Spanish Wedding Celebrant in Bavaria

I am your English wedding celebrant in Bavaria, and I also speak Spanish. Maybe you plan a wedding around Lake Chiemsee, in Munich or across the border in Austria. And maybe English or Spanish is your language. Then I create a personal ceremony in English, Spanish, German or Bavarian – or a mix of them. That way, every guest feels part of your story. Your families may come from two different countries, or your friends may live on different continents. Either way, I make sure nobody just watches from the sidelines.

Your English wedding celebrant in Bavaria: a ceremony in your language

I grew up bilingual, and English has been part of my working life for years. That means your ceremony doesn’t have to choose one language. For example, I can speak English and weave in Spanish for your family from abroad. I can also switch to German or Bavarian for local guests, even within a single ceremony.

For international and binational couples in Munich, Salzburg or the Alps, that makes a big difference. As a result, guests stop watching and start feeling it. Every ceremony I write is personal: no templates, no recycled phrases, just your story, told the way you would tell it yourselves.

Hear my voice

Reading about a bilingual ceremony is one thing, hearing it is another – here are two short samples so you know what your ceremony could sound like.

Where I work as an English wedding celebrant in Bavaria

Lake Chiemsee & Chiemgau
My home region. I offer lakeside and alpine ceremonies, from venues like Hotel Aiterbach in Rimsting to Gut Ising between Chieming and Ising, with the lake as your backdrop. More on weddings at the lake: Freier Trauredner am Chiemsee (in German).
Munich & Rosenheim
City and countryside weddings across Upper Bavaria. I work at venues like Gut Sonnenhausen and Schlossgut Oberambach near Munich, and at family-run locations around Rosenheim, where I live myself. More on Munich and Rosenheim (in German).
The Alps & Austria
Mountain and destination ceremonies in Tyrol and Salzburg. Examples are the Tanzbodenalm in Söll, where I got married myself in 2020, and the Zachhofalm above Dienten am Hochkönig. South Tyrol, Carinthia and further destinations are possible on request. See also Freier Trauredner in Salzburg (in German).

How a bilingual ceremony works

✓ We meet on a free, no-obligation video call – distance is no problem – usually within a few days, and we can go straight into English or Spanish if that’s easier for you.
✓ You share your story through simple questionnaires – no essay required, just enough for me to find your voice and write a ceremony that sounds like you, not a template.
✓ On the day I bring the sound system and lead your ceremony – including microphone and speakers, and on request the music for your ceremony too.
✓ The legal marriage is handled separately at the registry office – I’m happy to point you to what that usually involves in Germany or Austria, but please confirm the exact process with your registry office.

Real ratings, not just words: 5.0 out of 5 on ProvenExpert (10 verified reviews) and 5 stars on Trustpilot. You can read more couple voices on my reviews page.

Celebrant & photographer as a duo

My wife Mona is a wedding photographer. On request, we work as a team: I find the words, and Mona captures the moments. You get one point of contact, one trip and one price advantage. It also means less coordination for you. For instance, one email covers both the ceremony and the photography. And we already know how to work around each other on the day. FAQ

Do you speak Spanish as well as English?

Yes – English, Spanish, German and Bavarian, also mixed within one ceremony.

Do you travel for destination weddings?

Gladly. From Lake Chiemsee and the Chiemgau to Munich, Rosenheim, the Alps, Tyrol and Salzburg, I travel to where you are celebrating. First, just tell me your location. Then we sort out the details together.

Is the ceremony legally binding?

It’s your symbolic celebration; the legal marriage is done at the registry office in your country.

Can family members take part in the ceremony?

Yes – readings, rituals or a few words from parents or friends can absolutely be part of it. We talk through what fits during your free intro call.

What’s included, and what do we get afterwards?

Sound equipment and microphone are included. In addition, your ceremony speech runs around 30 to 45 minutes. Afterwards, you receive it as a printed keepsake and as a PDF. That way, you can read it again whenever you like.

What happens if it rains?

We agree on a backup plan together beforehand, for example a covered terrace or hall at your venue. Then I adapt the sound setup and timing, so the ceremony still feels right, rain or shine.

How far in advance should we book you?

Around 6 to 9 months before your wedding date is a good guideline, especially in the busy season between May and September. Spontaneous ceremonies are welcome too: I also offer weddings with only one or two months of notice, so please get in touch even if your date is close.

Do you also perform ceremonies fully in Spanish or fully in English?

Yes. If that fits you and your guests best, the whole ceremony can run in just one language. Besides, mixing languages is just as possible. So we find out what works for your families in our first call.

When to book your celebrant

I recommend contacting me six to nine months before your wedding, so we have time to get to know each other and to shape your ceremony together. A ceremony one to two months ahead is also possible, depending on my calendar, so please send me a message even if your date is close.

Ceremony languages

I hold ceremonies in German, English and Spanish, and I am happy to combine languages if your families speak different ones. Tell me what you need and we will find the right way for your day.
